What size costume should I order?
At AnytimeCostumes.com, we know that sizing a costume can be almost as stressful as choosing one. Costume manufacturers provide us with general size guidelines that typically correspond to regular clothing sizes. These sizes are posted in parentheses next to the size selection buttons in each specific item.
The Men's Sizes refer to Jacket Size.
The Women's Sizes refer to Dress Size.
The Child Sizes refer to child Size, not age.
area, it is temporarily out of stock.) Any measurement not appearing on the website can be provided by our customer service staff, either through e-mail, or phone.
To size your costume properly, we suggest you take items from your own wardrobe that fit well and compare them to the measurements we have provided. Costumes on average tend to run small. Please do not get discouraged if you need a costume size larger then your real clothes. This is normal! If you find that you are in between sizes, we recommend that you choose the larger size.
Our costumes are measured using the following guidelines:
This measurement is derived by doubling the measurement of a flat garment from armpit to armpit.
This measurement is derived by doubling the measurement of the flat garment from one side of the waist to the other. In cases where there is an elastic waistband, the sizes provided reflect the waist measurement before and after the elastic band has been extended. However, the degree of elasticity is at the manufacturer's discretion.
This measurement is derived by measuring the flat costume from the neckline to the bottom of the garment. In cases where there is more than one piece to a costume, this measurement is taken from the primary piece. You can find the measurements for the secondary pieces listed as shirts and pants in our chart.
These costumes contain at least two major pieces. You will find the measurements for both pieces listed under the shirt and pant length/inseam categories (skirt and underskirt length is listed under the pants category). The tops are measured from the shoulder to the bottom of the garment. The bottoms are measured from the waistband to the bottom of the garment.
This measurement is used for jumpsuit costumes only.
It is derived by taking the measurement from where the shoulder and neck meet, to the crotch of the garment.
This measurement is derived by measuring from the armpit to the end of the sleeve.
This measurement is used for all jumpsuits and pants.
It is derived by measuring from the crotch of the garment to the bottom of the pant leg.
PLEASE NOTE: Our manufacturer's sizing and fabric choice is subject to change without notice. We reflect any changes as soon as we become aware of them, yet these changes are beyond our control.
